Tophi
Does anyone have experience with tophi? I have a bruise on my shinbone,
a spot where there's just skin over bone, that I've had for a year. I
fell and bruised it and it has been sore ever since. Now it has
developed a hard lump on the bruise that has just come up and is
growing. The area is tender and has been since I fell. I'm wondering if
it could be a tophus. I'm also wondering if urate crystals started
forming there right after I fell and that's why it hasn't healed.
I'm going to have them biopsy it next week, so I guess I'll find out
then. Just wondered if anyone else has had experience with something
like this.
