Hello Everyone! I've lurked long enough, it's time for me to come out
of hiding. I've been around for about a month now and I want to say
Thanks to each and every one of you that post on this site. You are
WONDERFUL! I'm just beginning my journey and I have learned so much
from all of you!
Let me introduce myself. My name is Kathy, I'm 30, single, from
Hanover,PA. I have my first consult on Wed. 7/16 with Dr. Monk in
York,PA. I have heard great things about him and I am very excited to
get started. My appt was originally on 9/10 and called every week to
see if they had a cancellation. Lucky me!!! I know that my insurance
covers the surgery, I just need a letter of necessity. I don't think
I should have a problem getting that. I am currently at 312lbs with
my highest being 331 about 2 years ago. I'm 5'10" at at last check my
BMI was @45.
I have alot of people supporting me. My family and friends are the
greatest. I know that I am blessed since I have read that others have
not been as lucky to have those they love most support them. I know
there will be some out there that will not agree with what I am doing
and well, to them I say...
'Your opinion of me is none of my business!!! '
I thank you all again for your wonderful words of wisdom! I will keep
on reading your posts faithfully and keep you posted as I continue my
journey!
