There is no defined composition of normal synovial fluid.
There is information on synovial fluid from inflammed joints and from
degenerative joints, but nothing on 'normal' joints.
Most data available is based on the knee but there is absolutely
nothing to indicate that data for the knee would necessarily be
applicable to any other synovial fluid such as in the great toe.
In the knee joint's synovial fluid, it appears that uric acid levels
are roughly equivalent to uric acid levels in the serum, but there is
no data as to whether this holds true for the synovial fluid of other
joints.
No data for synovial fluid in normal toe joints. Hummmmm
Baloney-
yes baloney-
that's what they treat with sodium nitrite. It makes the terrible
colored sausage and baloney, red, yes it makes them red ant therefore
they sell better.
Lets review the situation--
First we need to all wear our sun bonnets in the spring because,
well, that's when gout attacks and the sun happens then so if we wear
our sun bonnets, we might not get the sun and that might prevent
gout.
Meanwhile there is vitamin D on the market and it is pretty cheap and
since it seems to be involved somehow, we better take a lot of it
just in case I guess. Perhaps if our sun bonnet gets a hole in it we
might be able to let up on our total vitamin D dosage.
Then we need to watch out for lead. I mean, chewing on pencils-oh
yes, not that kind of lead, the lead that you find in your fishing
tackle box. We must all stop chewing on our lead fishing weights.
Unfortunately for us, we can't even tell if we have chewed too much
on our lead fishing weights because all the lead that might really
hurt us is somehow bound up in our bones so it won't show up in our
blood tests.
Next we have to be careful and keep away from Molybdinum. Not
knowing really where and how I might run in to molybdinum it seems
like a pretty hard thing to do, that is keeping away from molybdinum
that is but gosh, you know it is a trace metal and it may affect gout
attacks so we better stay away from it. I wonder if I can hide from
it in my closet
Now, of course, there are also other trace heavy metals and we can't
really rule them out either so we better construct a shield to ward
off heavy metals from our diet.
Moving along, down this white rabbit hole, we now must have a group
encounter with sodium nitrite. Clearly something that must be
involved in causing our gout. Not clear if it is the nirite or just
the salting aout effect of increasing the overall sodium level but
that isn't really important, what is important is that a summary
review of an article published somewhere in the land down under
suggested that nitrite might be involved.
Then we move on to methylbutyl thiole, that one is really obvious, it
stinks and gout stinks so the two must be related.
And I must quote the source on the next problem we all must be
having,
"Its those minute, trace compounds that can be
significant. And particularly any bottom fermented
beer will make gout worse. Trace amounts of
mycological products seem to be quite potent.
Not the fact that alcohol, absolutely pure alcohol, will retard renal
function and can bring on gout but why worry about something that the
medical world already knows about. We need to seek out the
trace "mycological, (not to mention illogical)elements, compounds
etc. etc. etc.
Finally, about cat bites,
Clearly bites from cats are a real problem now but I feel I must
quote my dear father who always says about cats,
"Well, a big cat can kill you.
But...
a little pussy never hurt anyone."
So lets all wrap ourselves in cotton wool and live on prune juice in a darkened room.
