Suffering husband
Hi. My husband has been suffering with gout for a number of years now.
We've tried numerous medications, but the attacks keep coming. Right
now he has been in severe pain since Saturday, that's 5 days, and he's
going out of his mind.
Does anyone have any holistic remedies? MOst of the meds do little to
help. He's back on percocet again.
--I posted on this before but my husband was like that nothing helped
and his doc pulled out an old gout med that is hardly used only about
1% people use it anymore because of allopurinol. Sulfinpyrazone is the
name. Question your physician about it. It is a lifesaver for him.
Really helped him out get rid of the attacks. They are coming out with
a new med like Allopurinol soon. Getting approval right now. Cannot
remember the name of it. Not sure on the holistic meds. Carla
Just a cautionary note.
Make sure your doc can rule out Medrol as a possible cause of
osteonecrosis.
