    Hi Chrissy :)
    I am not sure of the reason why either, but this can happen whenever
    one is on a very low calorie diet (800 calories a day or less)
    regardless if one has had surgery or not.

    Yes, very true! Oddly enough though, people who are on liquid fasts
    (like Optifast or HMR) often start feeling cold even before they've
    had a chance to lose a substantial amount of weight.

    You also need to realize you had excess weight that kept you insulated that was
    why you were all ways hot. Now that you are losing weight your insulation is
    getting smaller and smaller. Your internal thermastat just needs to do a little
    catching up. Plus you will NEVER be as hot as you were when your weight was a
    hundred or more pounds.
    This is what my surgeon has told me, and what I already knew.

    I also have heard that it has to do with your
    metabolism. Some people shiver and are cold due to it
    working overtime-or perhaps not enough. I think you
    can get hot the same way from your metabolism.
